Paper Straws Repurposed Into a Night Lamp (8 Steps)

01
Repurposed Project
January 2018

This is a team project that me and my group made for our Design Crafts class in my Sophomore year. The concept is to repurpose something to turn into something. So we repurposed paper straws and woolen to make a night lamp. We had to make a website and present how we made it. Check out our link on the left to see all 8 steps to make this!

02
Stop the Bleed Course
November 2019

Successfully completed the Stop the Bleed Course where I learned how to stop the bleed in a severely injured person. I learned how to apply pressure, pack wound and press, and how to properly use a tourniquet.

03
Functional Tool Project
December 2019

For my Quarter 2 project for Human Disease, I created a patient walker out of PVC pipes, added two tennis balls and two wheels at the bottom. This is much affordable than buying a real walker. Overall, I only spent about $20 for this project. It is easy to do and really helpful for people who have a hard time walking at home or anywhere.

04
CPR and AED Program
January 2020

Successfully completed the CPR and First Aid Program and training by the American Heart Association. I learned how to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED for adults and infants.

05
Nursing Assistant Clinicals
February 2020

This photo shows my first day of clinicals at Desert Springs Hospital. I am the fifth person on the left, or the shortest person in the group. My CTE teacher

was Ms. Jan Monroe. I have successfully completed 10 hours of training out of 20 hours. Unfortunately, all 2019-2020 Nursing Assistants students are unable to complete all 20 hours required due to Covid-19 (Corona Virus).
